Freelance Linux Technical Lead - Hybrid - Long Term

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Technical Lead to drive operational maturity of our enterprise Linux platforms. The role blends hands‑on Linux expertise with team leadership, automation, and continuous improvement to deliver secure, reliable, and high‑performance infrastructure services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of enterprise Linux platforms.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Linux engineering teams.
• Improve incident, problem, change, and capacity management processes.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and critical incident resolution.
• Develop automation to streamline operations and increase platform reliability.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to deliver resilient services.

Required profile

• Strong experience with enterprise Linux, preferably Red Hat.
• Proven track record of technical leadership in Linux infrastructure and operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to work full‑time on a freelance basis with a hybrid onsite/remote arrangement.
