Freelance Data Analyst – Power BI (Brussels)

About the role

We are looking for a Power BI expert to design, automate, optimise and maintain our reporting landscape. The role is freelance, onsite in Brussels for a 6‑month contract, supporting Group Controlling and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and automate end‑to‑end KPI reporting for Group Controlling, translating business questions into decision‑ready dashboards.
• Maintain and continuously improve existing Power BI dashboards, monitor usage and propose enhancements.
• Rationalise semantic models, consolidate datasets, document relationships and improve refresh performance.
• Optimise visualisations to simplify, standardise and align with design guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI Desktop, including DAX, Power Query, workspaces, apps and dataset refreshes.
• Proven track record designing, automating and maintaining KPI dashboards in a corporate or group‑wide setting, preferably in Controlling, Finance or IT governance.
• Ability to work autonomously, identify needs and drive solutions to delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable with both business stakeholders and IT/Data engineers.
• Fluent English; working knowledge of French or Dutch is a strong asset, German a plus.
