Foreman – Construction Site Leader

About the role

Colas Belgium is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead a construction team on road, piping, rail or related infrastructure projects. You will ensure that all work is carried out to professional standards while strictly adhering to safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Apply safety instructions and enforce site safety guidelines.
• Prepare the construction site, evaluate required resources, break down tasks and verify procurements.
• Organise the work perimeter and install site facilities and systems.
• Coordinate and oversee the team, providing technical assistance and conducting on‑site verifications.
• Supervise the team from a technical and organisational standpoint, including tool allocation.
• Monitor progress against construction drawings and project timelines.
• Close the site by removing equipment, materials, waste and preparing administrative documentation.
• Lead the team, foster a positive work atmosphere and support knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising construction or civil‑engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and construction procedures.
• Ability to plan, organise and allocate resources effectively.
• Good communication skills to guide and evaluate team members.
