Firewall Engineer (Security Analyst)

About the role

Join ACENSI Belgium’s Tribe IT Production Security as a Firewall Engineer. Working in an Agile environment, you will be part of the Squad Firewall & Proxy Filtering Services, responsible for the day‑to‑day management of firewall infrastructures, ensuring security policies are applied and business needs are met.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and process firewall flow requests from business units.
• Implement, optimise and document firewall rules and policies.
• Resolve firewall‑related incidents and support security‑related troubleshooting.
• Participate in audits, security controls, regulatory compliance and data‑flow recertifications.
• Collaborate with project teams to design and deploy secure network solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in firewall environments (Palo Alto or Fortinet).
• PCNSA certification (or equivalent such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA).
• Fluent in English; French desired, Dutch a plus.
• Proven experience with IPS/IDS, cloud micro‑segmentation and audit reporting.
