Financial Reporting Officer – Consulting Role

About the role

Nexeo Belgium is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Officer to join its consultancy team serving a leading financial institution in Brussels. The role combines deep regulatory knowledge with analytical expertise to support the client’s transformation projects across banking, finance and insurance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and interpret key financial performance indicators such as profitability, solvency and liquidity.
• Prepare quarterly analytical reports, including year‑on‑year and budget comparisons.
• Stay up‑to‑date with IFRS and Belgian GAAP standards and advise on accounting for new products and transactions.
• Communicate accounting changes to the finance team through newsletters and presentations.
• Represent the consultancy in external accounting and prudential committees.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in business, economics, engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting within the banking or insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CRD, CRR and BRRD.
• Proactive, independent and organised with a collaborative mindset.
