Financial Controller

About the role

Our client, an established IT and digital solutions provider near Brussels, is seeking a Financial Controller to strengthen its finance organisation. The role combines traditional controlling with hands‑on involvement in operational projects, offering high visibility and regular interaction with management, sales and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance and produce monthly and quarterly management reports.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections, and analyse deviations.
• Analyse financial and operational KPIs and turn them into actionable insights for management.
• Act as a financial business partner, supporting strategic and operational decision‑making.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and cost control.
• Support and improve financial, administrative and operational processes.
• Coordinate financial and administrative aspects of commercial projects and large client dossiers.
• Collaborate closely with sales, operational teams and the back‑office to ensure accurate project follow‑up.
• Participate in the optimisation of ERP, CRM and other business systems.
• Monitor supplier agreements, contractual conditions and budgets to mitigate financial risks.
• Contribute to broader finance and business improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling, business controlling, accounting or a similar analytical finance role.
• Professional command of Dutch and French; additional languages are a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with an ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV is advantageous.
