Financial Controller – Industrial Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee the financial performance of two manufacturing sites in Belgium. The role bridges industrial operations and finance, providing clear financial visibility to support strategic and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly closing reports for both sites and analyse variances against budget and forecast.
• Lead the standard costing process, calculate product costs and identify profitability improvement opportunities.
• Partner with production, maintenance, supply chain and HR to translate operational KPIs into financial impact.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and CAPEX projects, building business cases and monitoring realised benefits.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation, monitor stock processes and analyse inventory variances.
• Support internal and external audits, guarantee compliance with group procedures and Belgian legal requirements.
• Extract and analyse data using SAP, develop Power BI dashboards and advanced Excel models.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to link operational data to financial results.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a business partner for operational teams.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.

• SAP (ERP) for data extraction and analysis.
• Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
• Advanced Excel for modelling and variance analysis.
