Finance Controller

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a Regulatory Reporting Controller to join its Accounting and Regulatory Reporting team within the Central Finance department. The role supports month‑end and year‑end closing, prepares statutory and consolidation reports under BE GAAP and IFRS, and assists with tax declarations.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly and year‑end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting, legal and tax regulations.
• Perform detailed profit‑and‑loss and balance‑sheet analyses on a regular and ad‑hoc basis.
• Execute balance‑sheet reconciliations and align data across multiple accounting ledgers.
• Collaborate with accountants, central finance controllers and business‑unit controllers to gather accurate information.
• Review and propose accounting treatments for new transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of tax declarations.
• Document and optimise internal controls across business cycles.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external audit processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Economics.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and reconciliation abilities.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Experience in audit or consolidation processes is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, organise tasks effectively and communicate clearly.
• Resilient under pressure and proactive in suggesting improvements.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with SAP (advantageous).
