Facilities Manager – Data Center Operations

About the role

Google is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the operation and maintenance of its critical data center facilities in Belgium. You will work on cutting‑edge electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, ensuring reliability, safety and cost‑effective performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute campus operational budgets, expense forecasting and budget management.
• Oversee the design, installation, monitoring and repair of power supply, generators, UPS, electrical distribution and HVAC systems.
• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot piping, non‑critical electrical and mechanical components.
• Provide daily technical assistance to senior technicians, read blueprints/schematics and conduct system tours.
• Develop and implement initiatives to reduce operational costs while improving data‑center efficiency.
• Manage emergency situations, performance issues and outages to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in critical facilities management, including technical and team leadership.
• Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or Chief Engineer in a mission‑critical environment.
• Fluent communication in English and French.
