Expert Security Configuration & Remediation Specialist

About the role

Degetel is seeking an experienced security professional to lead vulnerability remediation and secure configuration initiatives across servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, and network devices. You will work closely with IT operations and local teams to embed security best practices into daily workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Provide secure configuration guidance for servers, endpoints, cloud environments, and network devices.
• Advise IT operations on secure operational practices and risk reduction.
• Coach local IT teams and deliver practical security workshops.
• Help organizations embed security into day‑to‑day IT operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT operations, infrastructure engineering, cloud, workplace, network, or security.
• Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, Active Directory/Entra ID, endpoint protection, firewalls, and backup platforms.
• Experience with security hardening frameworks, patch management, and operational risk reduction.
• Ability to translate security findings into concrete IT actions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
