Experienced Barista

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced barista to join our waterfront team at Pier 88. You’ll run the coffee station, delivering consistent high‑quality espresso drinks while also helping with orders, running food and drinks, clearing tables and keeping the floor ticking over.

Key responsibilities

• Run the coffee station and prepare espresso drinks.
• Take orders and serve food and beverages.
• Clear tables and maintain floor flow.
• Assist the team with any additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Experience as a barista in a high‑volume café or restaurant.
• Strong technical skills on commercial espresso machines and grinders.
• Ability to dial in, maintain consistency, and troubleshoot on the fly.
• Genuine passion for coffee and hospitality.
• Excellent customer‑service skills, able to read a room and handle complaints gracefully.
• Confident communication with guests and proactive problem‑solving.
• Reliable, punctual and available to work weekends and public holidays.
• Positive attitude and calm under pressure.
