EU/NATO Policy Internship – Brussels

About the role

Join Saab’s Brussels office for a six‑month internship starting September 2026, supporting EU and NATO defence cooperation. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, translating external developments into strategic analysis and policy input.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, track and analyse political initiatives within the EU defence dimension and NATO partnerships.
• Conduct research on institutions and key stakeholders in the Brussels policy landscape.
• Produce analyses, policy briefs and fact‑based memos on legislative proposals, strategies and security‑policy developments.
• Support external monitoring activities and internal information sharing.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated in political science, EU studies, law, economics or a related field.
• Strong interest in EU policy, NATO, defence and security issues.
• Good understanding of EU and/or NATO institutions; Brussels experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Swedish (additional EU languages a plus).
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex information into clear, structured material.
• Self‑driven, curious and comfortable in an international, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
