ESG Officer

About the role

BMW Group Belux is seeking an ESG Officer to lead the development and execution of its Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy. You will act as a strategic partner and hands‑on executor, turning sustainability ambitions into measurable actions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and BMW Group ESG standards.
• Develop, implement, and align the ESG strategy with BMW Group frameworks and ambitions.
• Define initiatives, timelines, and KPIs, translating strategy into concrete results.
• Serve as the central ESG contact, maintaining oversight of all ESG activities.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration and engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage ESG reporting, audits, performance tracking, and representation to rating bodies.
• Provide e‑Mobility and sustainability consulting for fleet electrification and CO₂ reduction.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background with strong ESG and sustainability expertise.
• Proven experience in ESG strategy development and implementation.
• Track record of leading transformation and cross‑functional projects.
• Knowledge of ESG regulations and frameworks (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, ESRS).
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Business acumen and understanding of sustainability’s impact on performance.
• Proactive, adaptable mindset with fluent English and Dutch.
