Engineering Internship – Autonomous Rail Technology

About the role

Join OTIV’s fast‑growing Product and R&D team in Ghent and help teach rail vehicles to drive autonomously. As an engineering intern you will work on real projects alongside software, machine‑learning and data engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and testing of autonomous rail software components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on data processing, algorithm implementation and quality assurance.
• Contribute to at least one project during the internship period, delivering code and documentation.

Required profile

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
• Hands‑on, self‑driven mentality with a proactive eagerness to learn.
• Enthusiasm for cutting‑edge autonomous rail technology.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field at a European university.

Required skills

• Application programming experience in C++ or Python.
