Engagement Activities Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Engagement Activities Specialist to support the ESA Academy Engagement Programme on behalf of ATG Europe. The role involves designing, developing, implementing and operating a portfolio of educational and outreach opportunities for tertiary‑education students, providing access to ESA expertise, technical and financial support.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recurring editions of Engagement Programme elements, maintaining liaison with event organisers and sponsored students to ensure continuity and improvement.
• Define and implement new programme elements, contributing to process development, documentation and online resources.
• Implement the “Book a Space” programme, creating an automated online process that matches support requests with subject‑matter experts.
• Liaise with ESA Directorates and partner organisations (academia, industry, institutes, associations) to prepare and deliver joint educational events such as hackathons, challenges, training courses, career fairs and space‑related conferences.
• Collaborate with ESA and partners to support student projects and case studies in space‑related fields.
• Coordinate with ESA colleagues, including Human Resources, for programme delivery and stakeholder management.
• Travel to on‑site outreach activities, educational events and meetings as required.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel for on‑location outreach and meetings.
• Ability to undergo a general security screening.
