Employment Associate – Employment Law

About the role

MVVP, a Brussels‑based law firm, is seeking an Employment Associate to join its corporate practice. The position can be full‑time or part‑time and is based on‑site in Brussels, offering the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of Belgian and European employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft opinions, contracts, and procedural documents.
• Provide advice on Belgian and EU employment and social security law.
• Contribute to articles, books, and thought‑leadership publications.
• Deliver training sessions for internal teams and clients.
• Represent clients in negotiations and, when required, in legal proceedings.
• Engage in business development activities and maintain direct client contact.
• Manage files autonomously with ownership from day one.

Required profile

• Lawyer with 3–5 years of experience in employment law (senior candidates welcome).
• Background as a trainee, associate, in‑house HR counsel, or legal consultant.
• Trilingual proficiency in English, Dutch, and French.
• Available to work in Brussels on a full‑time or part‑time basis.
• Exposure to social security law and/or litigation is a plus.

Required skills

• Legal research and analytical abilities.
• Drafting of legal opinions, contracts, and procedural documents.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian and EU employment law.
• Experience with social security law and litigation processes.
• Ability to deliver training and produce publications.
