Embedded Software Development Engineer – Industrial Applications

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Development Engineer to join our engineering unit in Walloon Brabant. You will work on firmware for embedded systems that control hydronic heating and air‑conditioning circuits, integrating various IoT communication protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain firmware for embedded devices.
• Analyse functional requirements, split them into tasks and estimate development effort.
• Create test plans, unit tests, functional tests and regression tests.
• Investigate bug reports, perform debugging and implement fixes.
• Document code and contribute to knowledge transfer within the team.
• Monitor emerging technologies and propose innovative improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in C and Python.
• Good command of English; French is a plus.
• Analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability and curiosity about product applications.
• Team‑player attitude, creativity and flexibility.
