EH&S Manager

About the role

The EH&S Manager is a safety specialist who promotes safe working practices across Nelson Labs Europe. Reporting to senior leadership, the role supports the development, implementation and evaluation of health, safety and environmental policies to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote HSE awareness and personal responsibility among management and supervisory staff.
• Review NL‑EU activities for compliance with HSE policies, plans, certificates and permits.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and GxP‑compliant safety protocols.
• Evaluate workplace hazards and implement training and safety strategies to eliminate risks.
• Organise and coordinate risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Implement the HSE training programme (first aid, fire, biosafety, chemical handling, etc.).
• Facilitate regular HSE Committee meetings and ensure emergency preparedness plans are documented, tested and exercised.
• Manage MSDS, hazardous chemical disposal, injury reporting and investigation.
• Collaborate with external prevention services, occupational hygiene programmes and the environmental coordinator.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Level 2 Prevention Advisor certification (Code du Bien‑Être / Codex).
• In‑depth knowledge of EH&S issues, especially chemical substances and pharmaceuticals.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
