Duty Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Duty Manager will oversee daily front‑desk and guest‑service operations at the Renaissance Brussels Hotel, ensuring a seamless experience for all guests. This full‑time, on‑site position coordinates group check‑ins, manages room inventory, and supports the team in delivering high‑quality hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate group check‑in and pre‑registration procedures.
• Sell rooms to walk‑in guests, manage over‑booking situations and secure alternative accommodations when needed.
• Block rooms in the system, perform duplicate reservation checks and run daily reports.
• Provide guests with directions, information, and arrange transportation.
• Issue safe‑deposit boxes, handle cash, checks and all payment types, and reconcile the bank at shift start and end.
• Respond to guest requests, questions and concerns, ensuring satisfaction and proper follow‑up.
• Support and coach team members, model professional appearance and uphold company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in hotel front‑desk or guest‑services operations.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, walking or sitting.
• Capability to lift and move objects up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer and POS systems for reservations and payments.
