Document Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Document Controller to join a major construction project in Mons, Belgium. The role involves managing and controlling project documentation in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring that all documents and drawings are accurate, up‑to‑date and distributed to the right stakeholders. You will work closely with engineers, subcontractors and the project management team to keep the information flow seamless.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and distribute project documents and drawings to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain document control systems and registers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform quality checks on incoming documents and drawings.
• Issue transmittals and submissions to clients and project teams.
• Track outstanding documentation and provide regular progress reports.
• Update the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and document registers.
• Support the management of O&M documentation and project handover requirements.
• Produce reports for project management and clients.
• Ensure document naming conventions and project procedures are followed.
• Maintain audit trails for document revisions.
• Coordinate with project engineers and subcontractors on document needs.
• Assist in preparing handover packages and O&M manuals.
• Provide general administrative support and assist with process improvements.

Required profile

• Previous administration or document control experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English language proficiency.
