Director of Production Technology – Ballpark

About the role

The Director, Production Technology (Ballpark) leads the design, operation and continuous improvement of all broadcast, audio‑visual, control‑room, scoreboard, digital‑signage and live‑event production systems for a new professional sports venue. This senior position ensures world‑class fan experiences for baseball games, concerts and community events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term technology roadmaps aligned with venue growth and fan‑experience goals.
• Plan, implement and operate control‑room, IPTV, LED displays, audio, replay, broadcast infrastructure and digital‑signage systems.
• Serve as primary liaison with MLB broadcast partners, production vendors and touring event producers.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and emerging technologies.
• Direct technical delivery for baseball games, concerts and special events, managing switching, graphics, audio, camera operations and content playback.
• Coordinate technical execution with entertainment, marketing, sponsorship and operations teams.
• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of all production technology assets.
• Manage broadcast IP workflows, networking, signal distribution and fiber infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership in production technology for large‑scale sports or entertainment venues.
• Extensive experience with broadcast engineering, AV systems and live‑event workflows.
• Strong collaboration skills with Baseball Operations, IT, Facilities, Marketing and external partners.
• Ability to drive innovation while ensuring reliable, high‑quality fan experiences.
