Director, Brussels Partnerships Office

About the role

The Director of the Brussels Partnerships Office provides senior leadership for UNOPS in Brussels, modelling organisational values and fostering an inclusive, high‑performing team culture. Reporting to the Director of the Partnerships and Futures Group, the role is responsible for managing and deepening relationships with key partners to scale up and speed up delivery for impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic partnership plans aligned with UNOPS priorities, embedding mission‑led intent into partnership development.
• Engage senior officials of key partner organisations, representing UNOPS in external meetings and forums to identify and develop partnership opportunities.
• Lead senior‑level consultations and facilitate ongoing dialogue with partners to understand priorities, synergies and risks.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of global framework agreements and memoranda of understanding with key partners.
• Provide analysis and reporting on partner portfolios, including risks, opportunities and lessons learned, to support informed decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in partnership development, strategic engagement or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high‑level relationships with diverse international stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of UNOPS values, integrity standards and commitment to inclusive work environments.
• Experience in leading teams, fostering diversity and ensuring compliance with security and protection policies.
