Digital Lead (Freelance, 15 hrs/week)

About the role

Lung Cancer Europe is seeking a senior Digital Lead on a freelance basis (approximately 15 hours per week) to drive the development of Atlas 3 and a new Digital Knowledge Hub. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to shape digital tools that support patient advocacy across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and launch of Atlas 3, integrating clinical trials data.
• Define functional specifications in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage external developers and technology partners, overseeing testing, quality assurance and go‑live.
• Design and implement the Digital Knowledge Hub, including content architecture, user journeys and governance.
• Establish sustainable content management processes with content owners.
• Advise on digital strategy, technology choices and AI‑supported workflows.
• Monitor platform performance and use data‑driven insights for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in digital product development or digital transformation.
• Proven track record delivering complex platforms or knowledge‑management solutions.
• Experience managing external development teams.
• Strong understanding of user‑centred design and digital strategy.
• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment.
• Background in healthcare, patient advocacy or membership organisations is a plus.
