DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Medior to Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure that underpins our clients' data and AI platforms. You will work within Volve, part of the Pauwels Solution Group, collaborating closely with data engineers and developers to deliver reliable cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage Azure environments using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
• Configure and maintain Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, NSGs, VNet peering and private/public endpoints.
• Build, maintain and optimise Git-based CI/CD pipelines (YAML) in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Implement security-by-design controls: Managed Identities, Service Principals, RBAC, network isolation and policy-as-code.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting to ensure high observability of cloud workloads.
• Support DataOps/MLOps workloads, integrating services such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Data Lake.
• Deploy and manage container solutions using Azure Container Apps, Azure Container Registry and, where needed, AKS/Docker.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Azure core services (CLI, networking, compute, storage).
• Proven production experience with Bicep or Terraform.
• Strong Git practices and experience authoring YAML pipelines.
• Deep understanding of Azure security concepts (Managed Identities, Service Principals, RBAC, private endpoints).
• Ability to work collaboratively with data and ML teams.
