DevOps Engineer [Dutch required]

About the role

Faktion is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help deploy, scale and maintain its projects, apps and platforms. As an Azure DevOps/Cloud Engineer you will build scalable, future‑proof platforms by combining infrastructure, security and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and automate CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for builds, tests and deployments.
• Manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure (future AWS) using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform/Bicep).
• Containerise and roll out ML and Node services via Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor and resolve performance and connectivity issues, and design disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Design and enforce cloud security controls such as network segmentation, private endpoints, WAF, RBAC and secret rotation.
• Build observability solutions: centralized logging, metrics, tracing (OpenTelemetry), dashboards, SLIs/SLOs and actionable alerts.
• Track cost, optimise resource usage and produce clean documentation and architecture diagrams.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in architecture, infrastructure, DevOps and/or Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and/or Bicep (AWS experience a plus).
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps and Docker.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
