Desktop Support Engineer – Hybrid, Belgium

About the role

As an IT Support Technician / Desktop Support Engineer you will deliver high‑quality IT service and user support to colleagues across the organisation. Working hybrid from Belgium, you will handle requests face‑to‑face, by email and telephone, and collaborate with regional offices, suppliers and internal IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Log, monitor and resolve support tickets using the firm’s ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
• Manage the full lifecycle of end‑user devices – imaging, stock management, allocation, return and disposal.
• Provide onboarding support, ensuring new starters receive a fully configured laptop, iPhone and peripherals before their start date.
• Deliver VIP support for partners, senior stakeholders and time‑sensitive requests.
• Prioritise BAU tasks, follow up with users and keep ticket notes up to date.
• Maintain laptop and iPhone stock, order peripherals and ensure timely replenishment.
• Collect and wipe leaver devices using the Blancco process and re‑image laptops still under warranty.

Required profile

• Available for day‑shift work with occasional approved out‑of‑hours support.
• Hybrid work arrangement based in Belgium; no travel required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes.

Required skills

• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Laptop imaging and device provisioning.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Device lifecycle management (stock, allocation, disposal).
• Data wiping using Blancco or similar tools.
