Designer Coordinator – High‑Voltage Tower Design

About the role

As the Tower Infra Designer Coordinator at Elia Belgium, you will lead a team of designers responsible for creating high‑voltage pylons for transmission projects. You will ensure the delivery of high‑quality designs while supporting the company’s mission to provide a sustainable and reliable electricity supply.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate tower design projects to team members, balancing workloads and monitoring progress.
• Coordinate resource planning, respond to changes in study schedules, and manage outsourcing to external partners.
• Supervise the technical and organisational framework, ensuring compliance with quality standards and KPIs.
• Guide staff development in both technical and soft‑skill areas.
• Maintain and enhance the BIM environment, gaining expertise in Tekla and 3D CAD tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher secondary education in mechanics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in tower or high‑voltage infrastructure design.
• Fluent in Dutch or French (the other language is a plus).
• Strong organisational abilities, responsibility, and customer‑focused communication.

Required skills

• Tekla drawing software.
• 3‑D Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) modelling.
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts.
