Data Scientist for AI Opportunities & Solutions Cell

About the role

Spektrum is seeking a Data Scientist to join the AI Opportunities & Solutions Cell supporting the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The role focuses on analysing AI opportunities for space‑based ISR workflows and delivering data‑driven insights to enhance NATO’s cyber security, command and control, satellite communications and electronic warfare capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse near‑ and long‑term AI opportunities with clear operational value for space‑based ISR workflows.
• Prepare and curate labelled datasets for assessments, demonstrations, and analysis initiatives.
• Recommend methods to strengthen data collection and improve data quality.
• Provide data‑driven recommendations to support NCIA projects across cyber security, command and control, satellite communications and electronic warfare.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, analysts and NATO stakeholders.
• Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for decision‑makers.
• Maintain documentation of data pipelines, models and results.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data science applied to geospatial or ISR data.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational value.
• Experience working in defence, aerospace or government environments is preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Willingness to work on sensitive and classified projects.
