Data Intelligence Manager – Energy Generation

About the role

As the Generation Data Intelligence Manager you will lead the transformation of data into actionable insights for Luminus' Generation department, shaping strategy and driving innovation across Belgium's critical energy assets.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing team of data scientists, data engineers and ML engineers.
• Own and prioritize the portfolio of data, analytics, ML and AI use cases to maximise business value.
• Define and drive the data‑intelligence strategy, bridging operational teams and IT.
• Co‑create the technical roadmap and raise the team’s maturity in advanced analytics.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, asset management and leadership, and manage external partners.
• Monitor impact, improve reporting and enable predictive, data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading technical teams.
• Proven track record industrialising machine‑learning solutions in an industrial or utility environment.
• Familiarity with OT systems and time‑series data (e.g., PI systems).
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strategic vision combined with hands‑on execution ability.
