Data Engineer – Build Scalable Pipelines with Databricks

About the role

Join Deloitte Tax and Legal as a Data Engineer and help shape data‑driven solutions for clients worldwide. You will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks and Python, supporting analytics, reporting, and emerging AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows on Databricks.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability for analytics projects.
• Implement data governance, quality, and security best practices.
• Develop and optimise data models for reporting, visualisation, and AI/ML use cases.
• Participate in generative AI projects, contributing to architecture and implementation.
• Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and models.
• Troubleshoot data issues and optimise performance of data workflows.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging data engineering technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
