CyberSecurity Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CyberSecurity Engineer to design, automate, and manage security solutions across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will work closely with infrastructure, development, and SOC teams to ensure robust protection against emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Create custom scripts (Python, Bash) to automate tasks, parse data, and integrate APIs with security platforms.
• Deploy, harden, and manage Linux, Windows, and VMware ESXi servers.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
• Produce vulnerability assessment reports, remediation plans, dashboards, and operational procedures.
• Manage the full vulnerability lifecycle – identification, assessment, prioritisation, remediation tracking, and verification.
• Coordinate remediation efforts across multiple teams and ensure timely patching and security updates.
• Report security metrics, risk exposure, and KPI trends to stakeholders and management.
• Design and orchestrate infrastructure to improve availability, scalability, and efficiency of threat‑management services.
• Document solutions for engineers and end‑users and automate responses to non‑exceptional service conditions.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in OS administration for Linux, Windows, and VMware ESXi.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python and Bash for automation and API interaction.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols.
• Experience securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and working with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanners (Rapid7 Nexpose, Nessus), SIEM (Splunk), and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Ability to adapt quickly to hybrid‑cloud, DevSecOps pipelines, and emerging attack vectors.
