Cybersecurity Analyst – CyberOps (EU Institution, Brussels)

About the role

The position focuses on ICT security, delivering vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and threat intelligence to senior management and the Security Operations Centre. You will design, implement and improve security architectures across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and review architectures for security systems and assess security settings on various IT applications.
• Perform penetration tests and security posture assessments for diverse systems and applications.
• Deploy, configure and administer vulnerability‑scanning tools in cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Analyse detected vulnerabilities, propose patching solutions and support remediation efforts.
• Write reports for system owners and senior management, and present capabilities of scanning tools.
• Develop Python scripts to integrate security platforms and assess security requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and at least one professional ICT‑Security certification.
• Minimum six years of relevant experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and cloud security.
• Strong communication skills, ability to lead multilingual meetings and present to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Fluency in English (French is an asset).
