Cyber Strategy & Risk Consultant

About the role

As a Cyber Strategy & Risk Consultant you will help enterprise clients assess and improve their security programmes, bridge the gap between executive leadership and technical teams, and design sustainable cybersecurity roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze security programmes and infrastructure across multiple sectors.
• Assess IT and security processes, risks, controls and compliance against standards, identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with senior management to design cybersecurity strategies, roadmaps and sustainable solutions covering processes, tooling and people models.
• Translate technical vulnerabilities into clear business risks and present concise findings.
• Support clients in developing procedures, aligning with best practices and strengthening incident‑response capabilities.
• Facilitate exercises, guide remediation plans and act as a change agent in data protection, security operations, privacy and business continuity.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and at least 3 + years of experience in cybersecurity or information risk management.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF/800‑53, CIS or the Cybersecurity Maturity Model.
• Experience developing policies, procedures and controls.
• Fluent in English and Dutch or French.
• Open, honest mindset with an entrepreneurial approach to end‑to‑end project management.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, GIAC, GSEC or ISO Lead Auditor are a plus.
