Cost Controller

About the role

Avesta is seeking a Cost Controller to support its fast‑growing lithium‑battery business. You will be responsible for financial closing, budgeting, forecasting and providing actionable insights across all group entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly and annual financial closings for all group entities.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, KPI analyses, budgets and forecasts.
• Translate financial figures into clear, actionable recommendations and propose process improvements.
• Perform reconciliations, periodic financial controls and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Contribute to the budgeting process, update forecasts and support departments with financial queries.
• Identify opportunities to optimise internal processes and reporting.
• Support business cases and EU projects focused on optimisation and automation within controlling.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Several years of experience in audit or controlling.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with a structured, accurate work style.
• Dynamic mindset with assertive communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and a passion for finance process optimisation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Odoo (plus).
