Corporate Governance Research Trainee - Benelux Market

About the role

ISS STOXX, a provider of corporate governance research, data and proxy voting solutions, is looking for a pool of research trainees for February 2027. Each trainee is assigned to a regional market (the Benelux) and guided by experienced analysts. The traineeship takes place during proxy voting season and supports institutional shareholders in making informed voting decisions. It is a fixed-term, paid position of 4 months, from 1 February 2027 to 28 May 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the governance structures and performance of publicly listed companies and provide vote recommendations to institutional shareholders.
• Gather publicly available data from listed companies and engage with them to obtain additional information.
• Prepare reports using the latest technology and analyst expertise, explaining why each vote recommendation was given.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Law or Political Sciences, or currently studying for one.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Dutch and/or French preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in a relevant area is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and work as part of a team.

Required skills

• Strong analytical ability and numeracy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and an organized, structured approach.
