Corporate Governance Custom Research Analyst Trainee

About the role

ISS STOXX, a provider of corporate governance research, data and proxy voting solutions, is looking for a pool of research trainees for February 2027. The trainees join the Custom Research team, which works with institutional shareholders from Continental Europe to develop and implement custom guidelines and vote recommendations. The traineeship takes place during proxy voting season, when listed companies hold their annual shareholder meetings, and runs for 4.5 months, from 1 February 2027 to 11 June 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze governance structures and help deliver data, research and vote recommendations to clients.
• Prepare reports in English explaining why each vote recommendation was given, based on client-specific guidelines for shareholder meetings of companies in the clients' portfolios.
• Work under the guidance of experienced analysts in the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Law or Political Sciences, or currently studying for one.
• Fluent English, spoken and written; French or German is a plus.
• A good eye for detail, strong analytical ability and numeracy.
• Ability to absorb large amounts of information, work independently and take initiative while remaining a team player.
• Prior experience in a relevant area is an advantage.
