Contract and Vendor Manager

About the role

The Contract and Vendor Manager will join the Procurement, Contract and Vendor Management team within the IT department of SNCB/NMBS (through Ypto). You will operate in a complex IT environment, leading strategic procurement initiatives and managing a portfolio of high‑impact IT contracts, especially for application development, maintenance, support and cybersecurity services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex public procurement processes, define sourcing strategies, and conduct technical and contractual negotiations.
• Govern the full lifecycle of IT contracts in a multi‑vendor setting, monitoring performance, managing risks, and ensuring service continuity.
• Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, handle escalations, and negotiate at senior level.
• Provide cost‑control insights, optimise contracts, and act as a trusted advisor to senior management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Economics, Industrial Engineering, Commercial Engineering or IT.
• At least 10 years of experience in senior contract, procurement or project management roles within complex IT environments.
• Proven experience with public procurement, strategic contract management and IT sourcing.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English, with strong stakeholder‑management and negotiation skills.
