Construction Manager

About the role

IPS is seeking a Construction Manager to lead investment projects from planning through hand‑over in either Nivelles or Mechelen. The role combines site supervision, contract administration, cost control and stakeholder coordination to deliver high‑quality engineering and architecture projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily site activities, supervise workforce and subcontractors.
• Coordinate material deliveries, resolve technical and logistical issues, and run site meetings.
• Administer contracts, track changes, support procurement and review submittals, shop drawings and change orders.
• Review payment requests, monitor costs and schedules, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Ensure clear communication among architects, engineers, consultants and the client.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental measures, including any green‑certification requirements.
• Manage final inspections, punch lists, testing and commissioning for timely project hand‑over.

Required profile

• BS or Master’s degree in construction management, architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction management or related projects.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in English and French or Dutch.
• Willingness to travel within Belgium and a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience using construction management software such as MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Lets‑Build or Aproplan.
