Compliance Team Leader – Packaging

About the role

We are seeking a collaborative and analytical Compliance Team Leader to head the Compliance Investigation Team within our Packaging operations at the UCB campus in Braine‑l’Alleud, Belgium. The role ensures that deviations, investigations, CAPAs, audits and change controls are managed effectively while maintaining cGMP compliance and inspection readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate the Compliance Investigation Team to meet quality and departmental objectives.
• Define, monitor and improve team KPIs aligned with packaging priorities.
• Own the writing and execution of deviations, investigations and CAPAs in close collaboration with production, QA, maintenance and other stakeholders.
• Support audit and inspection readiness, coaching the team for front‑office and back‑office activities.
• Provide cGMP expertise to resolve issues and prevent recurrence through robust action plans.
• Contribute to change controls, documentation lifecycle, continuous improvement projects and cross‑functional packaging initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in sciences, engineering, pharmacy or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Experience in sterile product manufacturing, packaging operations, compliance investigations or quality systems.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English (TOEIC certified).
• Proven ability to lead, coach and communicate clearly under pressure.

Required skills

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt.
• cGMP expertise.
