Compliance Officer – Insurance Sector

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Compliance Central Office of a leading insurance company. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and working closely with the CRO, you will help safeguard the firm’s integrity and reputation by ensuring adherence to regulatory and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen compliance controls.
• Identify and analyse compliance risks in partnership with the Head of Compliance.
• Provide strategic advice on compliance matters to various departments.
• Oversee first‑line control processes and ensure their effectiveness.
• Design action plans and follow‑up programmes with internal teams.
• Update policies in response to legal or regulatory developments.

Required profile

• University degree in law, economics, finance, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a compliance or audit role within the financial or insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, particularly insurance and risk management.
• Native Dutch speaker with good command of French and English.
• Team player, independent, assertive, with strong critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in presenting and defending ideas.
