Compliance Analyst – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Compliance Analyst to support AI training projects. You will work on a project‑by‑project basis, reviewing compliance artifacts and providing precise regulatory citations to improve AI system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evaluate rule‑application scenarios by comparing advertisements, disclosures, or policies against specific regulations.
• Write sanctions alert disposition cases with structured false‑positive reasoning and escalation documentation.
• Build compliance testing scenarios, including sample selection, test design, findings documentation, and examiner‑ready conclusion memos.
• Identify policy gaps where internal policies are silent, contradictory, or outdated relative to regulatory requirements.
• Document all test cases with verified regulatory citations to the exact subsections.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or financial services.
• Recent experience in compliance & regulatory roles, financial crimes, or related areas.
• Strong habit of precise citation, flagging uncertainty rather than approximating.
• Professional credentials such as CRCM, CAMS, or equivalent are a strong plus.
• Former regulatory examiner or inspector status is highly valued.
• Strong written English (C1+).
