Communication and Branding Lead

About the role

Allied For Startups is seeking a dynamic Communication and Branding Lead to shape the association’s voice, visual identity, and advocacy outreach. You will work closely with management and the policy team to translate complex policy topics into clear, compelling content across digital and traditional channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies aligned with the organisation’s mission and policy priorities.
• Manage digital presence, including social media, website, newsletters and other online platforms.
• Create and deliver advocacy and awareness campaigns from concept to launch.
• Draft press releases, conduct media outreach and maintain relationships with journalists.
• Update and maintain the website, ensuring timely and accurate content.
• Produce communication materials such as social media posts, newsletters, presentations, campaign assets and print collateral.
• Monitor communication trends and identify new amplification opportunities.
• Support event activities and occasional travel for stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• University degree in journalism, communications, business or a related field.
• Proven experience in communications, public affairs or policy‑related roles.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver successful communication campaigns.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Interest in the startup ecosystem, innovation and digital policy.
