Commodity Sourcing Specialist – Strategic Procurement

About the role

The Commodity Sourcing Specialist supports the Commodity Manager(s) in developing and executing a performance‑driven, risk‑based sourcing strategy for spot purchases and gap sourcing across multiple Group entities. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure cost efficiency, supply continuity, and supplier excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deploy commodity strategies aligned with business and customer needs.
• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, benchmarking, and market intelligence.
• Lead negotiations, ensure compliance with procurement processes, and drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics such as On‑Time Delivery (OTD), On‑Quality Delivery (OQD), lead‑time, and responsiveness.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks (industrial, financial, geopolitical).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams across entities.
• Support supplier development initiatives and performance improvement plans.
• Prepare structured reports to aid senior‑level decision making.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Business.
• Proven procurement experience (aerospace experience is a plus) from RFI to contract execution.
• Technical mindset with ability to interpret drawings, standards, and material specifications.
• Strong negotiation and contract‑management capabilities.
• Comfort operating in complex, multi‑site, international environments.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
