Co-worker Relations Intern

About the role

Join IKEA as a Co-worker Relations Intern and support the development of a healthy, engaging workplace. You will work closely with the People & Culture team and the Co-worker Relations Manager to implement HR policies, ensure compliance with Belgian labour law, and foster open dialogue between co‑workers and the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of global people policies, code of conduct and co‑worker relations principles across the country.
• Establish and maintain open communication channels with co‑workers and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in ensuring HR policies and procedures comply with Belgian employment legislation.
• Identify, evaluate and monitor potential labour issues and provide guidance on legal questions.
• Help protect IKEA from labour‑related risks by applying consistent issue‑management processes.
• Contribute to the rollout and monitoring of IKEA employment standards in all units.

Required profile

• Passion for people’s rights, wellbeing and a collaborative work environment.
• General knowledge of Belgian labour legislation and co‑worker/employer rights.
• Current studies in Law (labour/social law) or Human Resources Management with legal components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French or Dutch.
• Motivated, structured, able to work independently and take initiative.
