Class Teachers and Learning Support Teachers – German Language Section

About the role

European School Brussels I is recruiting class teachers and learning support teachers for the German language section at nursery and primary levels. The positions are part‑time (20‑25.5 hours per week) on a fixed‑term basis, starting 1 September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum in German for nursery or primary classes.
• Provide general, moderate or intensive learning support to pupils, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and school management.
• Contribute to an inclusive, multicultural learning environment.

Required profile

• Diploma authorising work as a primary and/or learning‑support teacher in the German language section, validated by the inspector.
• Minimum two years of professional teaching experience.
• Excellent command of German (native‑like) and good knowledge of English or French; additional European language is a plus.
• Strong communication, flexibility and willingness to work in a multilingual setting.
• Professional attitude towards student wellbeing and teamwork.
