Class & Learning Support Teachers – German Section (Brussels)

About the role

The European School Brussels I is seeking qualified Class Teachers and Learning Support Teachers for its German language section. Positions are available for nursery and primary cycles on a part‑time basis, with a start date of 1 September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction in the German language section.
• Provide general, moderate or intensive learning support to pupils, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers, senior staff and management to ensure inclusive teaching practices.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of innovative teaching programmes.

Required profile

• Diploma authorising work as a Primary and/or Learning Support teacher in the German language section, validated by the Ministry of Education.
• Minimum of 2 years professional teaching experience.
• Excellent command of German (equivalent to an educated native speaker).
• Good knowledge of at least one other official EU language (English or French); additional European languages are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and willingness to work in a multicultural, multilingual environment.
