Class and Learning Support Teachers – German Section (Brussels)

About the role

The European School Brussels I is seeking qualified Class Teachers and Learning Support Teachers for its German language section. Positions are available for nursery and primary cycles on a part‑time, fixed‑term basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum-aligned instruction in German for nursery or primary pupils.
• Provide general, moderate, or intensive learning support within or outside the classroom.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers, management, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adapt teaching methods to a multicultural, multilingual environment.

Required profile

• Diploma authorising work as a primary and/or learning‑support teacher in the German language section, validated by the Ministry of Education.
• Minimum two years of professional teaching experience.
• Excellent command of German (native‑speaker level) and good knowledge of English or French; additional European languages are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to student wellbeing.

What we offer

• Start date: 1 September 2026.
• Gross salary: €199.08 per weekly teaching hour.
• Fixed‑term contract until 31 August 2028 (or 2027) with possible extension.
