Civil Design Engineer – Dredging & Offshore

About the role

Jan De Nul Group is seeking a Civil Design Engineer specialized in dredging and offshore projects. You will work on complex marine and coastal structures, translating analytical calculations into practical, cost‑effective designs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design and stability calculations for sea defences, breakwaters, land reclamations, quay walls and offshore foundations.
• Provide technical input to CAD‑BIM designers and review construction drawings.
• Collaborate with senior design engineers, project leaders, tender teams and site teams.
• Support the Operations team by offering technical advice on site issues.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and high accuracy in calculations.
• Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to pragmatic, implementation‑oriented designs.
• Willingness to develop expertise through courses and study days.
