CISO as a Service – Strategic Customer‑Facing Security Advisor

About the role

You will join a high‑performing ecosystem of security experts, acting as the strategic conscience and trusted advisor for our customers. In this customer‑facing CISO role you translate complex cyber threats into board‑level language and shape security strategies that support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement cyber‑security policies tailored to each customer’s DNA.
• Define long‑term roadmaps and translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Serve as a C‑level sparring partner, participating in board meetings and risk committees.
• Establish security governance, aligning security, privacy, and business continuity.
• Lead risk analyses (IT, OT, IoT) and make findings understandable for management.
• Guide customers through regulatory landscapes (e.g., NIS2, GDPR) and prepare for audits and ISO certifications.
• Oversee incident response, coordinate crisis communication, and advise on SOC and monitoring services.
• Raise security awareness, produce clear risk and maturity reports, and act as the central point of contact for all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Academic‑level thinking with deep expertise in GRC and security frameworks.
• Strong diplomatic and consulting skills, able to bridge board‑level concerns and technical implementation.
• Strategic thinker who quickly grasps organisational structures and identifies vulnerabilities and opportunities.

Required skills

• GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) expertise.
• Frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, CIS.
• Legislation knowledge: NIS2, GDPR.
• IT Service Management (ITIL).
• Solid understanding of ICT architectures; OT/ICS and IoT knowledge is a plus.
