Circular Building & LCA Expert – 5+ years, Dutch-speaking

About the role

You will translate material‑related sustainability strategies into actionable insights for building projects and policy frameworks. Working closely with a policy team, you will apply lifecycle thinking and CO₂ considerations to support more circular and low‑carbon construction.

Key responsibilities

• Apply LCA methodologies and GWP calculations to assess material impacts across building lifecycles.
• Analyse emissions and circularity strategies in the built environment and produce clear recommendations.
• Advise project teams on material choices and circular design approaches.
• Integrate LCA insights into policy and decision‑making frameworks.
• Develop practical tools such as guidelines, checklists, and frameworks for sustainable design.
• Communicate complex technical results to both expert and non‑expert stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in LCA, sustainable construction, circular economy or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with LCA tools and interpretation of GWP results.
• Strong understanding of material‑related sustainability challenges in the built environment.
• Ability to translate technical analyses into actionable recommendations.
• Fluent in Dutch and comfortable working in a policy‑driven, multidisciplinary setting.
